The Domino Effect

Read  Mark 6:13-29

Reflect
Do you ever read a Scripture passage that triggers more questions than answers?  Like today’s passage: Why did Herod not stand up to his wife?  Why did God allow such a horrible death for such a Godly man?  Why did Diana give me this passage?

Verses 19 and 20 show us why Herod didn’t stand up to Herodias:   “So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him.  But she was not able to, because Herod feared John and protected him knowing him to be a righteous and holy man.  When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him.“
